Happy 30th birthday! We don´t think it´s always the most original presents that make the best ones. Sometimes we know all too well just what we want. The Gift is a familiar friend, composed of a Kaare Klint chair and a Kaare Klint vitrine. Breaking down the artificial distinction between display and utility, The Gift asks for more generosity from those design objects whose value comes from their claims to uniqueness and their inaccessibility: to greasy fingers, to oversized bottoms and to conceptual contamination from their context and influences.
