The bench / table is constructed in solid wood. The different parts are joined, using traditional techniques. The absence of glue and the use of fixing materials refer to old Japanese joinery. The dovetail or ari-kake was the starting point. It is this form that gives the wooden construction its rigidity.
The top of the table is composed of different panels in wood or in ceramics. The different parts are not fixed, so they can be changed or they can be taken away. The part, finished with ceramics can be used as a tray. The tiles have an organic grid and some delicate structures, which create a vibrant textural surface.
The furniture can be used as a low table with a top of ceramics or a wooden bench.
